there are so many good soups!
Most of the best are eaten on rainy or snowy days, or days when you feel a little low- thats why Moms way back when had soup waiting when you came home from school for lunch- Moms way back when knew that soup has a magical quality. They learned that from their mothers .
My grandma made a good soup- a little of this, a little of that , but the prime ingredient were bones , and we used to pick out the marrow. The marrow was like gold ,and us kids used to exclaim `I just got a big piece' or ` you would not believe the piece I just got"
These days my favorites are a pea soup I make with plenty of ham like Mom used to make , the clam chowder at durgin park in boston ( wish I could make that) and the cream of mushroom at pals cabin in nj.. but as to the worlds best soup , any good soup ,made with love , esp in winter and on a day when your spirit really needs soup - thats the worlds best soup !
