I was in NYC a while ago and I took a cab ride up to Sylvia's. Cost me $25 for the ride through a questionable neighborhood. Restaurant was very nice and I expected very good southern food in a NYC area due to their location in Atlanta. It was a pretty large place and very busy.

My opinion was it was over rated and mediocre at best. I think they were sailing on yesterday's wind.
