Add Farmer Boys in Pomona CA and others in surrounding Inland Empire communities. Their "Farmer Burger" may not be THE BEST but it ranks in the top burgers in the nation.

I'll back up what Mr Mayor said about the Farmer Burger. I'll go a bit further to call it the best fast food burger in the Nation, and this from an over the road trucker who's been around the lower 48 once or twice since retiring from the Department.

I live a quick 1 minute drive from the South Fontana FB, and this is not a good thing for my waistline. Their thick, real ice cream shakes are to die for a thousand times over.

The #2 at Holiday House in Austin. Char broiled over an open flame, grated cheddar cheese, tomato, sweet onion, dill pickle, mayo. Normally I don' t just have mayo on a burger, but the blending of the mayo to the other condiments and dressings is a symphony in my mouth! (The # 7 substitutes mustard for mayo).

I would defiantly put this burger on my menu for my last meal, it's that good.


Also the Midpoint Cafe ( gets it's name for being the midpoint of Route 66) west of Amarillo has a great burger and also the prettiest burger I've ever seen, looks like something out of a magazine.

Any consensus yet?

I'll agree with you on the Midpoint. I used to time my run out of SLC so I'd spend the night in Tucumcari, NM. Instead of eating breakfast there the next morning, I'd hit the road and have it at the Midpoint.
