Could also be used as a brown bread to accompany a baked bean supper. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone, Dave and Heather M. DaveM, do I have to knead the dough at some point, or is punching down sufficient?

As a chef for a catering company, I was working 60+ hours a week in November and December. I did more lurking than contributing to the forums during that time, ocassionally falling asleep in front of the monitor, so I missed this thread! I just now read all of the contributions. What a great sense of community! I'm really sorry I wasn't on top of things enough to make an addition to what seems like a wonderful project. You guys are great.

quote:Originally posted by Al-The Mayor-Bowen Beverage- Nice Punch for Holiday visitors who like juicey, sweet punch. 1.75 or 2 Fifths Peach Schnapps 1 Half gallon Peach Cranberry Fruit Drink 1 Half Gallon Orange Juice 1 Quart of either Pineapple or Grapefruit juice or Squirt Soda (you choose Pineapple for sweeter, or Grapefruit for Tarter) 1 Fifth 80 proof Vodka Mix well and store in 'Frig' til needed. Float some Orange slices with marashino cherries on the slice on top of the Punch in the Punchbowl. Makes a bunch, but is storable for several parties if needed. Someone gave us a big bottle of Grapefruit vodka. Do you think I should make any adjustments in the recipe if I substitute that?

ET I must admit I haven't tried the flavored Vodka to see how much it is 'diluted' by the citrus additions. I would suggest that you substitute it for the fruit juice and cut-back on the straight Vodka "to Taste". (or if you want to- Just substitute the grapefruit Vodka for the fruit juice and keep the 80 proof at the full amount)
