i asked santa [aka-louise] for one special gift this year
beef and beans from jackstack in martin city [location #1]
the brisket was great, but the beans were incomparable.....
i have never had baked beans anywhere near as good as thiers
lots of burnt ends in there
santa was good to me
i also got some bottled bbq sauces from kc
[try a little gates on your scrambled eggs]

actually, louise picked my meal up on christmas eve
she is a native and was already there for christmas with her family
i flew in later that evening and had beef and beans for lunch christmas day
don't get me wrong, the brisket was great.......but i had never had beans that good before
are those beef burnt ends? or pork?
we picked up thier mail order catalog and the only disappointing thing is that you cannot just order the beans
i've been to a few q joints there in kc and plan to go to a different joint every trip
we just don't have anything remotely comparable here in ky
