I'm reading a book about apple pie by John T. Edge (look it up on Amazon). It's quite good, and really makes me feel hungry for a good slice of pie. He particularly enjoyed the fried pies that are popular in Kentucky and Tennessee, and an apple pie with green chiles made by a baker in New Mexico.
