Does anyone have a old time recipe for a chocolate malt?
The best I remember were served at Peter's DriveIn on State Ave.
in Kansas City Kansas. The thing I remember the most is that
they tasted like they had a pinch of salt in them.

You are so right about Peter's Drive-in. Grew up trolling the place... especially after Wyandotte basketball games!! Maybe it was my juvenile tastebuds, but I can't thing of anything that they served that wasn't yummy!! Alas... they are gone with the wind and haven't been able to find a replacement out here in the "all chains all the time" area of No. VA.
