BOILED PEANUTS Wed, 05/14/03 12:33 PM (permalink)
Man I cannot get enough of them! My family is fortunate to have southern relatives who will send us the green peanuts by the pounds so that we can boil them up fresh and hot!
At Myrtle Beach at the local baseball stadium home of the Pelicans , there is a man with a large cauldron boiling away those tender salty gems. What a combo baseball boiled peanuts and a cold beer!
Won't be long before that box arrives at our door , better get some extra salt and maybe some beer.
Sold at roadside and at flea markets / some flavor them with cajun seasonings or spice them up with hot peppers. I like them on the salty side and boiled a little extra so that you can even eat the shell.
