favorite Pizzas in Fairfield County CT

I know of the wonderful new Haven pizza, but does anyone have a special favorite in Fairfield County. People talk about Colony Grille in Stamford but I was underwhelmed.

Wonder if we were there the same time??? I stopped in at Letizia’s on Friday night on the way up to Massachusetts. I was with my two little kids, so we went with just a plain cheese pie, and it was quite a treat! As I thought about it, it seems to me that the pizza is somewhere between NY style and New Haven style, which makes sense since Letizia’s is about half way between those two locations. They were incredibly busy on a good Friday evening, but were very friendly and accommodating to us rookies who had never been there before. The guy at the counter seemed to know about half the customers by name, so it is clear that many locals know they have a good thing on their hands! It is real convenient if you are traveling up the Merritt parkway and want a quick bite, as it is just a few blocks north of the parkway.
