Attilio's Pizza in Freehold, NJ

One of the stops on my trip east was to Freehold, New Jersey (no, I didn't see "The Boss" ). At the motel where I stayed I was referred to Attilio's, in the strip mall (look for the Petco sign to locate the mall) on US 9 to the north right at Pond Road since I wanted the best northeast-style pizza around. I was told that it gets rave reviews from New Yorkers. I decided to try a small pizza with pepperoni, but it was as big as six Sbarro pizza slices (hey, I paid almost $11!). Regardless, it certainly hit the spot. I soon spotted the name, with a similar font, at at least one other New Jersey location, as well as Pennsylvania. Question: Is Attilio's branching out? Oh, and the font was pseudo-cursive (half cursive, half print) for lack of a better term. Unfortunately I cannot find a website.

We have had an Attilio's Italian restaurant in a strip mall here in Allentown for at least 10 years. They had great food but awful service so we usually got meals to go. My favorite was veal pizziola. About a year ago, the shopping center was demolished and rebuilt; they sold their liquor license and moved to another location in the rebuilt center. The food is not nearly as good as it was before.
