Dairy Queen's Blizzard 20th Birthday

Dairy Queen recently did an promotion about the Blizzard's 20th Birthday. I think the Blizzard is alot older than 20 years, I remember as a kid in the early 1960's that Dairy Queen had Blizzards. anyone else remembers this?
