We ate there last week, and was not impressed. Several other people we have talked to, had the same results.

I had the pulled pork, with slaw, fries and hushpuppies. My husband had the brisket, beans, slaw and hushpuppies.

It was 6:30 on a Thursday and there were only 3 tables. The pork was dry (thought I was eating leftover cafeteria turkey). The bbq was about as white as the turkey too! The slaw was awful (chocked full of celery). The fries was the best thing, then the huspuppies(and I've had better) Had to sauce it just to get it to go down.

They only had 1 sauce that was edible.

The brisket wasn't hitting on much either. The beans were just pork & beans from the can. The best thing my husband had was the slaw, but that weren't much.

Where in Matthews is this place? (I won't be making a special trip...)
How do they cook their barbecue? Gasser? Electric heater?

It is in Windsor Square on Hwy 74, near Burlington Coat.

They use an Southern Pride type cooker, and had a big pile of wood out back. Must not be using the wood, or surely not using enough.

When we lived in Carmel Woods in Charlotte, we frequently ate at the "Fish Farm" in Matthews, and it was alway excellent.
