That's sad. I found out about Lombardis in NY, thought I had to go there, found out about the one closer in Phila. and now they are closing. Never had a coal fired pizza.

I don't want to sound ignorant, but I never heard of or noticed this place. I'm sure I've walked past it on 18th Street at least once. I guess I've been out of Philly a long time, huh!? Are they saying in the story that that's the former site of Rindelaub's Bakery? Now THAT I remember! So their pizza was legendary? I can imagine how much the condos being built on that block will go for. Actually, I can't even imagine...that's prime Center City Philadelphia real estate right there.
