In the last couple of days I saw a promo on the Food Network ( I think)that says the French Dip was indeed invented in LA, but not at Philipes (sp) as I had thought. Unfortunatly I can't remember the name. Anyone else see this or have info?

I'm starting to think either you work at Arby's or are a shareholder. Arby's is the pits, at least where i live where our Arby's is run by an Indian family who probably don't eat much beef anyway. Tell us about your fascination with Arby's.

Phillippe"s French Dip is good. And you could write a novel just by writing down the conversations you overhear.

It's been a controversy for many years between Phillipe's and Cole's P. E. Buffet. I'll take Phillipe's----but that's just my opinion. either way, they're delicious!

Tell us about your fascination with Arby's. Not all Arby's are owned by Corporation they can be owned individually. So depending on you location they can just own that single store. Try to find an Arby's owned by US Beef Corporation, yu just might see a BIG difference

The difference between Coca Cola and Arbys is, Coke is a cultural icon. Arbys is a warning sign for crap ahead. Roy Rogers defined the standard for fast food roast beef. It was good. As far as your ruminating about spitting in people's food, I'd ask you to grow up but even I have realistic expectations. Then again, the threat to have your food spit on by a simpleton moron only reaffirms my assertion that Arbys stands for "Crap ahead." Your mileage may vary, but not by much apparently.
