In the early '80s, back when my job took me to Washington DC frequently, I used to take the then-new Metrorail out to Ballston VA and have an Ollieburger at the Lum's near the subway station. They were SO good; a dynamite blend of herbs and spices. I've been told that the surviving Ollie's Trolley in Louisville  still serves the same burger. Since I want to try the recently reopened Parkette Drive-In in Lexington, this gives me two really good reasons to make a roadtrip down to central Kentucky.

In college I worked for a franchisee who owned several units.  We didn't  use any special Ollie seasoning on the fries, we did however put Lawry's Seasoned Salt on all the french fries.  As far as the Ollie burgers are concerned the were "seasoned" in two ways.  The bottom of the bun was spread with a sauce that came in a one gallon (?) jar, it had the consistency of mayonnaise but a redish orangish color, this product came from Lums corporate (the franchisor).  Immediately before cooking the meat it was brushed with a liquid seasoning.  This liquid was made by mixing water with a packaged seasoning.  The seasoning again came from Lum's corporate.  The patties were cooked in an Ollie machine which was like a large flat panni press imagine a double sided griddle that cooked the top and bottom of the patty at the same time.

There was a Lum's on Hamilton Road between Main and Broad streets, plus one on the West Side on Georgesville Road, just south of Broad.

The reason that place is called Lums is because there is apparently no one left to keep them from using that name. All the federal trademarks for Lums have expired.
