According to the online yellow pages, the closest one to Cincinnati is a Long John Silvers/RAX Roast Beef at 758 E. State St., Georgetown, OH (about 25 miles southeast of I 275). Second closest is a RAX at 407 W. 30th St., Connersville, IN (about 40 miles northwest of I 275). Other RAX in Ohio are in Chillicothe, Columbus (3 of them), Ironton, Lancaster, London, Mansfield (2 of them), Marietta, Newark, St. Clairsville and West Union. I hope this helps you.

Dang, 6star, good detective work! I am flabbergasted that Cincy doesn't have any RAX's and Columbus only has three when our little town of Chillicothe has had a RAX seemingly forever, or at least since the 60's when they changed from JAX to RAX. Our RAX is only a block down N. Bridge St. ( the local "restaurant row") from an Arby's and they both do a good business.

Thank you very much, Mark. This is what happens when you are retired, and as a hobby/sideline try to help people (who don't want to use or cannot afford travel agents) plan vacations. You quickly find out how much you can discover using the free online yellow pages.

Hey, McFan A lot of the Rax locations on that website have closed... I think the last time it was updated was sometime last year.

You are correct that a lot of those locations have closed...and some of the ones that remain are nothing like the Rax of the 80s. The best one within a reasonable distance of me (Cincinnati) that is still as good as I remember is on National Rd. West in Richmond, Indiana...the one on National Rd. East has closed since the website was last updated. Interestingly, every time I've been to the one on the West side of Richmond, it is quite crowded. Long live Rax!
