    Or, Human bee-uns...
I must start getting used to the "twang", now that I have conquered the Yankee accent.. thankfully I am very adaptable to regional speech, and can fit in most places in this bee-yooo-tee-full country!
Now that I will be leaving Maine in 2 weeks, I can say I have lived from one end of U.S. 1 to the other.

I don't care for McRibs either. As far as pressed meat goes you must not eat hamburgers either.

Hamburgers are not pressed meat either. They are ground meat. Pressed meat is a whole different animal. Pressed meat is what you will find as the chicken fried steak in cheap frozen meals or the turkey in Buddig and other cheap deli meats. Chicken McNuggets are also pressed meat (althoghth the new ones are pressed white meat).

I suppose my favorite Buon Gusto Salami is technically pressed meat, but that is my exception.

Tried one many years ago w/ the understanding that if I didn't like it they would refund my money. One bite and I had my money back. They were cheerful and there was no problem but that puppy was terrible, IMHO.

I like pressed meat with cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and some better stuff than yellow mustard. Most of you call them hot dogs. On a poppy seed bun with pickle relish (but not pickles, that's what cukes is about) and some peppers, that's Chicago Style.

I like McDs because they're a damn fine corporate citizen, and they're not bad if I'm in a hurry. A McRib is close enough to barbecue when I'm strapped for cash or time, but not if I have the power to choose something else.

Driving by our local McD today I noticed a sign for the shamrock shake, I think it's a seasonal thing.

Shamrock Shake is seasonal, for St. Paddy's day (funny, how come no McCorned Beef & Cabbage Sandwich?).

I recall having one, maybe about 35 years ago, when I was still a kid and liked disgusting sweet crap. It was mint flavored, sweet, and even I thought it was disgusting.

Would have preferred a corned beef shake. Haven't had one since.

Funny, had a McRib, in it's first go around to my knowledge, guessing about 20 years ago. Haven't had one of those since, either.

McDs has a web site claiming McRib is gone for good, but then offering a petition to revive it. Gee, that wouldn't be a marketing ploy would it?

Oooo the McRib in its fake molded shape! It's always reminded me of "Creepy Crawlers" --- where you put the gloopy stuff into molds and made spiders, snakes, etc.? Yech!

Last year at this time and through St. Patrick's Day, my wife and I were in the throws of house hunting and bidding on properties.
St. Patty's Day arrived and we were so tired and in no mood to go to a crowded Irish Pub and get smooshed all night by the throngs of people, that we opted to sit in McDonald's and share a Shamrock Shake.
Not nearly as good as I remember them as a kid (but then, my memory fades with time, as all of our memories do) but, nevertheless, we were relaxed, enjoyed our shake/ice cream and didn't wake up with a hang over!

We signed the closing documents on our house last St. Patty's Day.

So this year will be a celebration of sorts...

We have to make it meaningful for our 2 boys - who only know that you get pinched if you don't wear "green" to school.

It is on Friday this year - better get yer money's worth!

I am not a big fan of McDonalds. Their McRib sandwich was tasty for me. I do not make it a position to buy often but the taste was OK with me.

I McSpotted the McRib yesterday while coming home from visiting the Belterra Casino in Indiana -  McDonalds was nearby and was really  the only thing nearby on the way home  other than a Subway which is in the same roadside  complex - it's a nice Casino but they basically  have you trapped there food-wise.  I haven't sampled Belterra's food, but it looked okay.

the new commercial makes me ill. Watching people eat it with the sauce coming out of their mouth - it totally grosses me out. I don't like watching people slobber on food or lick fingers.
