Greek Vlita (amaranth)

When I was younger I spent my summers in greece and among my favorite dishes was vlita me keftethes(meatballs) and skordalia. Does anyone know where i could get some vlita(amaranth). I am in Philadelphia.

You could stop in at my house I just made keftethis and home cut french fries, fried in oilve oil and lemon rice soup.(I am not greek so I dont know how to spell the soupa) My hubbie is Greek

Well I've never been to Philadelphia but if you're ever in Toronto, Ontario go to Greek Town and go to Mr. Greek! I've never tried the dishes you've had but they have a really good Chicken Souvlaki meal.

Try asking for lamb quarters, pigwood, goosefoot or wild spinach. These are the common names for vlita.
