Trip Report-Glee Club Owensboro KY Feb. 2006

Looks like you all had a great time . Congrats on planning and organizing the event .

Did Seafarer John ask for a coney Dog at any time ? Just kidding .

Benzee: I think the only food item not offered at the Moonlight's fantastic buffet was hotdogs. Among other things I had BBQ mutton, bbq pork, bbq bef brisket, and country ham with biscuits to die for. There was an arrray of vegetables, sweet potatos, macaroni, rice, beans, etc. enough to keep a vegetarian happy. And, the dessert table was about 25 feet long with more kinds of pie than i ever imagined even existed, and soft ice cream to boot. And I washed it all down with a nice bottle of Kentucky Ale and a cup of strong coffee.

The 700 mile detour was worth every mile of it - the food was great, and the company was better than the food.

I almost forgot to mention that I wound up the trip with a couple of bottles of Bourbon. one a generous gift from the Mayor, and a "Texas National Champions" cap and tee shirt courtesy of my Neanderthal friend , Bushie .

All I got was a "system error" message.

It worked for me, But I have had to be registered with 'SnapFish' in the past to get some of the family photos by Janet's kids.

Looks like you had a wonderful time. Wish I could have been there.

One thing we forgot to mention. As part of this spring's Glee Club meeting, we held a super double secret ballot, and we upgraded Mr. Mayor's status from moderator to KING. Here's a picture at his coronation at Lynn's Paradise Cafe.





He now would like to be referred to as His Honorable Majesty King Al. Thanks for your cooperation.

The Crown comes from a "collection" of costume parts for sale in the Lynn's Gift Shop. Luckily I wasn't wearing the Giant Beer Mug or the Clown/Court Jester hat!

I forgot to mention the great potato chips donated at the Moonlight meet-up by one of our members from Illinois. They are "Kitchen Cooked" and they are great!
