Potato Cheddar Soup

Hopefully this isn't a repeat, but I am obsessed with the potato cheddar soup at a certain place that will go un-named. It's going downhill. There are bits of raw potato and skin in it now ruining the texture. Anyone have a similar recipe, or care to kvetch with me about this certain pie place's soup?
