Long Island, as the name implies, is long. Maybe you can be a little more specific as to locale?

I've been going to the Mermaid in Freeport since I was a pup. Thickest chowder I've ever had. Great lobster, too.

how about freeport or port jefferson???? Sorry, best I can do is the Seafood Barge (I think) in Port of Egypt or Claudio's in Greenport, both on the east end.

Jordan's Lobster Farm in Island Park (not too far from Long Beach). They're more of a lobster shack than a full service restaurant. In the Summer months, they have outdoor seating. However, during the Winter, they are more of a market. Great lobsters though.
