Huck Finn Donuts

Has anyone heard of Huck Finn donuts? There are three remaning in the southern suburbs of Chicago. From what I heard they were the "Krispy Kreme" of their time, famous for their raspberry jelly filled donuts.

There used to be one on the ground floor of the Howard Street el stop. Never went in but I do remember the tempting aroma that managed to overcome all the other smells that one might associate with a CTA station. They were there for years until the city remodeled the station and the area got gentrified. Perhaps a trip to the south suburbs is in order so I can relive my "yoot".
