I am going to this "Chain" tonight. Anyone ever been? Online menue looks interesting, but I probably won't get the cuban sandwich, buts it neat that its offered. It seems like an "Outback" in the tropics.

Went once. Never got to the food. We watied for 45 minutes fora table for 4 and were then seated right in front of the speaker with the sounds of the worst Buffett cover ban imaginable blaring in our ears. We sat down, looked at each other and without a word got up and left.

I went to one in Hawaii. The wait was long. The food was mediocre, at best, and definitely overpriced. I would not go again. Highly overrated.

I've never tried the food myself but I went out with some friends to C in P one night last year. My friends seemed to enjoy their food. The menu seemed overpriced to me but then everything related to Margaritaville is overpriced (and I say that as a Jimmy Buffett fan). The dining room was incredibly noisy with a not-great bar band. We moved to the outside tables, where we could hear ourselves think.

That said, I enjoyed a fine mojito. It was my first and it was delicious. So good that I had to order another.

The one is Greenville, SC is incredibly popular. Sometimes the line stretches out the door. I can watch the door from my usual perch at the Haywood Road Waffle House. If my Waffle House served mojitoes, I might never leave.

Here in Myrtle, we've got Margaritaville and it's smaller sister chain, Cheesburger. Both are chains and you get chain food in the worst way. Lousy burgers, way overpriced, and terrible service.

That said, Margaritaville is also always packed in the summer time,
as it is a lot of fun to go for the atmosphere..loud, fast paced, colorful.

The little Cheesburger is just up the road from me. A more adventurous menu, but I thought the food was very ordinary.
They serve little "slider burgers" and some tropical inspired
things, but I don't frequent the joint by any means.

A Cheeseburger in Paradise opened up here in Secaucus last year, and I went to the press party before it opened. I think my friend and I had popcorn shrimp, churrasco steak, and maybe a jerk chicken wrap. The food was very mediocre, not memorable at all.

We did, however, enjoy some very large and yummy fruity frozen alcoholic drinks.

Oh, and Acuff-12, the reason it seems like an "Outback" in the tropics is because it's run through a partnership with Margaritaville Holdings (Buffett's company) and Outback Steakhouse. And sadly, I didn't have to look that up.

I ate lunch at the one in Maui on my honeymoon and I saw a whale breech (or is it breach?) right outside the window. Pretty cool sight.

                Oh, and the food sucked.

One opened a few blocks from my company "in horrible d'town DesPlaines IL" and i know the drill.Burgers cooked their way-no thanks.Looks kinda fun though. Our company is in the process of moving to the outer runways of O'Hare field so pretty much within just a short walk at lunchtime are,a strip club,a 24 hr adult bookstore, and two Korean massage parlors!!!So maybe i'll check out CIP pretty soon just for fun.

I second that emotion. I ate at the one on Maui and yes, it sucked. Plus, they had a live acoustic band playing Jimmy Buffet and a bubble machine.

All I could think was "Shoot me please".

I stopped at the one in New Orleans a few years ago. I did not eat but I sure had some good Margarita's.
