Well, sorry again Michael. I miss read your post. I thought had checked with the other places I mentioned. I just felt bad if you went to any trouble when it was just a joke. Hmmm, maybe I'll check with those guys? Someone that delivers has some kind of desert pizzas. I know CiCi's does.

You know,I'd never heard of CiCi's until this morning when my daughter told me that my grandson just got a job at CiCi's. After reading your post mentioning CiCi's I looked it up. It's amazing some of the things you learn here.

Michael, my grandzillas always love going to CiCi's, and they always leave full. The employees always appear happy to me and I hope your grandson likes his job!

About the P&J's, East of chicago Pizza has 133 locations and their signature dish is P&J pizza. They use Skippy and Smuckers strawberry. No need for some of you to eat your words, just have a P&J pizza. :~)

Oh, and they also make flour tortilla pizzas.

Flour tortilla pizza.... I would call that an Italian Wrap ....

Nop Roossy, you don't wrap it. My grandson does his that way and nukes em, sometimes w/ jelly, sometimes w/ a nanner. sometimes with honey but always with peanut butter. And a tostada is always a corn tortilla, I think. Shoot, I didn't look to see exactly what they made w/ the flour tortilla at South of Chicago. They had some other creative pizza ideas there also.

Oh, dr, the pizza at South of Chicgo looked kinda like a deep dish and that got me thinkin. How do you keep the P%J from running off when it gets hot?

There was a discussion about CiCi's in the Sir Pizza thread.
Kids seem to like CiCi's, but I've yet to meet an adult NYer who was transplanted to the South who found CiCi's even remotely decent.

Ok Score, CiCi's is not REAL pizza but they do have some creative ideas for whatever you want to call those round things they sell. And yep, kids love it there! Taco, BBQ chicken, spinach, desert ones, are just a few of the different ones they have. I won't be a bit surprised to find a PnJ there oneday.

and hey, Joe...I noticed you call it PnJ and not PBJ. I too call it PnJ. I wonder if that's a regional thing.

I think alot of you guys try way to hard to disagree with things, and try to be too "pure"

The poster is talking about dough(bread)+ PB and Jelly.....its hot....how much different could this possibly be from a toasted PBJ sandwhich?

Could just be me though... Cuz I will eat anyting, I enjoy the taste of food and I dont care what shouldnt or should not be put on whatever Im eating...If I want to put ranch dressing and franks red hot on my vanilla ice cream, Im gonna do it cuz it tastes good and I could care less what anyone else thinks....

now I think ill go try that ice cream recipe

Hey Steed, I am like you and thought I would eat anything but???? Take a look at some of the posts at my "aquired tasts" thread. Sorry but I do not know how to do the link.

But I do think the pizza dough makes for a different taste than a toasted PnJ sandwich. And, what fun would this site be if we all agreed? You look kinda new Steed so welcome! Lots to learn here and great fun!

I could see PBJ pizza. Heck, the shell is just bread. My only reservation would be that a whole pizza of PBJ is too much.

I've put PBJ on wheat tortillas, on pita, on bagels, on waffles, on pancakes, on english muffins, on ice cream... it's pretty good on all those. It'd probably be good on pizza shells, too.

There is very little difference between the dough recipes for pizza and pita. Like I've said before, quit calling these "variations" pizza and they start to sound more appealing. I feel the same way about "soups" that are served cold. Quit calling them soup. pb

I'm just picturing a large 16' pizza piled with jelly and peanutbutter. It's overwhelming and over done. Even one slice from a regular pizza seems like too much. Maybe a bite sized thing would be ok.

There is a picture at the east of chicago web site posted earlier. Yall are right, you would need several folks to eat a big one. And yes Score, I have started calling them "round things" as you can see from a "fruit p...... round thing" recipe post I made at mariners request about strawberry recipes. Those fruit things are real good and served chilled.

Sidney's in the Minneapolis area (small regional chain) has pb and j pizza.
very stylish place, but yet comfortable
