Manganaro's Hero Boy

After a new review appeared a few weeks ago I went searching for an old post card I had gotten when Hero Boy first opened in the 60's. Thought some of you might find it funny...particularly the prices...60 cents to $1.70 for a hero! Think the guy in the photo could look any less interesting? They used to give kids a hat like the guy is wearing...don't know what happened to that!

Thanks! We had this postcard (with later prices) on our refrigerator in NYC, next to a photo of my roommate with Larry "Bud" Melman of the early David Letterman show. The review got me thinking about the postcard and the sandwiches. For a while my Boss ordered a couple of the large ones, much longer than 6 feet, for a monthly department lunch. Actually, pretty good stuff.
