Chiccarones--Fried Pork Rinds

I've recently become addicted to chiccarones-----Mexican fried pork rinds. Can't seem to get enough of them. I've been buying them in a Mexican market------tastes a lot different than the ones in the plastic bags. Are these strictly a Mexican specialty or are there other types too?
