You might also try John's Philly Grill-----I know they have locations in Huntington Beach and Seal Beach. Good people, good food and I believe they use the amaroso rolls.

Thanks EdSails. I've tried John's before but I think Philly's Best has them beat by a little. They make a very good hamburger too...just tried one today.

I'll have to try Philly's Best. They just opened one near me----and I'm getting a craving. Now do I want it wit or witout?

There's a Philly's Best here, they do make a decent philly style sandwich, especially if you don't have a preconceived notion of what a cheesesteak is  The size of the sandwich doesn't seem appropriate for the cost. The best thing I can say about them is they are close by the wife and daughters favorite shopping emporium and provide a safe refuge
