Is Big W's in Pawling NY still in business

Haven't heard anything about this roadside stand in a while. Does anyone know if they're still operating. If so, what are their days/hours of operation, and are they near the Pawling train station? If not, what happened?

Re-reading the article just gave me the idea of calling Palling Collision, and they say he's still smoking, but they weren't sure of the days/times.

he's still there wed-sat 4:00 pm till the food runs out..on rt 22 jus south of rt 55 pawling.

Anyone have opinions on the ribs here? I pass this all the time coming back from my parents house and want to stop but never do.....

I picked up a few racks of ribs for family & friends when he started out; the unanimous decision was "oversmoked". The smoke flavor completely overwhelmed the meat.
But there were almost no other BBQ options in the area only a few short years ago, and it seemed to be a good start. I've never bothered to go back, if that tells you anything.

Go visit rob out on 55 in beekman, he does lunch only, bbq not to be forgotten! Go early, he sells out fast om monday, thursday & fridays

Still one of the best BBQ joints in the NE. Like to take the ribs home and reheat on the gas grill to get a combination of flavors. Big W's main competition is from Wood's in nearby Bantam, CT. Have had good BBQ from both.

Still there passed by it yesterday (8/17/08). It's just across the old Harlem Valley Mental Hospital on Rt 22 in Dover (Wingdale)_, NY
