Pizza at Cosco

I have purchased and enjoyed many food items from our local Cosco in Morris County NJ. Items such as breads infused with fresh garlic, cheese danish, King crab legs, meats, cheeses etc. But, recently as I was checking out, I saw what looked like really delicious, cheesy pizza at the fast food counter. They offer plain, combo and I assume any individual topping you want. Price is $9.99. Has anyone had their pizza? How was it?

For what it is, it's not really bad. But you can't, of course, compare it to the local pizzerias in the area, such as Frank's locations, which I believe to be the best in the Morris County area. But, for the price, and convenience, it's very good. Even better at that Costco are the brownies. By far, the most delicious food in that store, if you ask me, but, you have to buy them in the back of the store, they are not up front by the pizza, at least last time I was there.

tamandmik: Thanks for the comment. Have you tried Nick's, across the street from Charlotte's Web in Dover. Excellent thin crust pepperoni pizza.

Can't say that I have, I just moved to South Jersey about a year ago, do know where you are talking about, it's near the Laughing Lion, when I visit the folks again though, I will certainly give Nick's a whirl.

Pizza at Costco is kinda generic. Like everything else there you get a large portion at a great price. You can get either pepperoni or combo, maybe just cheese. They don't do a lot of variation. The best thing there though is the $1.50 hot dog and a coke. A large kosher dog and a 20(?) oz drink. Can't beat it

Howard... Nick's is my favorite when I'm back home in NJ... I am from Eastern Canada now with absolutely NO good pizza available. It's sickening. I got a Nick's every Friday night when I lived in a small apartment over a deli on Rt. 46 in Dover. My favorite... eggplant and ricotta cheese pizza with sauce and mozzarella. MMMMMMMMMMMM... I'm wishing I could have one now. crickett : )

Funny I was just in Sam's the other day and had a slice and a coke for $2.85. The slice was so good I went back a few days later. It was pepperoni but they cook it so that the peperoni is crisp and tastes like bacon. I'd go to Cosco in place of Sam's (due to Sam's corporate policies discussed in another thread) but there's not a Cosco anywhere near me.

Pizza and hot dogs at Costco are very cheap and very good for the price (though not NYC/Chicago-caliber). BUT..... If you're there for anything other than the chicken bake, you're there for the wrong reason.
