caramel apple dip--where to buy?? Mon, 07/31/06 1:26 PM (permalink)

Does anyone know where I can buy a caramel apple dip in single serve (around 2oz) in my area? I tried smart and final and restaurant depot and they dont have it. T marzetti makes them and when i called their customer service they can only refer me to grocery stores. I wanna buy in bulk to sell as a dip with pretzels.

I thought the subject referred to the caramel for making caramel apples, but I realized I have no clue what they are talking about

Some FF places (Mickie Dee's for one)are selling 'Apple Chips/pieces/slices' with a small container of carmel dip (like the BBQ or Sweet/Sour sauce containers) Marketing the item as a 'natural' or Healthy Snack.

Our Walmart has a display of what looks like Onion dip or Cottage Cheese containers- Actually Carmel Dip (in pint-size containers)They put it near the apples in the produce section and it sells rapidly! I believe it is about $2.50 a pint. It is like carmel ice cream sauce, only thicker...and sticks well to a piece of apple!

If your saying what I think your saying, just purchase the #10 cans, and laddle into 4oz. portion cups. Probably far cheaper then a pre-portioned size.
