Just wanted to say this place, which is today's restaurant of the day, is really an outstanding spot. Anyone traveling along the Merritt Parkway through Connecticut should plan on making a stop. It is just a few blocks off the main road...couldn't be easier! My kids make sure we plan our trips so we are nearby at meal time. I find it a cross between NY and New Haven pizza, which is consistent with it's location about half way, but it is really something worth trying.

Fortunately for my palate, I live and work a mere 15 minutes from Letizia. Unfortunately for my waistline, I live and work a mere 15 minutes from Letizia

Do they offer a white clam pie at letizias?? If so how does it compare to Pepe's white clam pies (i.e. do they use fresh shucked clams?)??.

Letizia's does offer a "casino pizza" (available red or white) with clams, garlic, onion, peppers, and bacon - of course you could just subtract the onion, peppers, and bacon and be left with a more traditional white clam pie. I've never had it at either Letizia's or Pepe's because (unfortunately) I am allergic to shellfish, so I can't give a comparison.
