Metal spoon candies

A vague memory is forming in the back of my head.....a sort of candy that came as a small metal spoon with a hardish (but not too hard) candy in the bowl of the spoon, sort of like a hardened icing. I (think) I remember chocolate, lemon and strberry flavors. The metal was cheap and if you weren't careful you could cut your tongue. Oh, more is coming back....maybe it was (also?) a small metal cup with pleated sides(size of a Reese's PBC) that had the metal spoon and you would eat the candy out of the cup..What was the name of those suckers? (no, they are not suckers...)

I never ate one or know the name of them but a couple of years ago, I definitely remember seeing people talking about them on a forum devoted to defunct candies. I think it was a sub-forum of some Philly cheesesteak board. So the name is out there somewhere on the internet.

No real help, but at least here is a verification of your memory: On "Oldtime Candy" under Discontinued Candy and Gum ( http://oldtimecandy.com/discontinued.htm ) they say, "Spoon Candy"... we are not sure if this is the actual name, but it was a tiny fluted pie dish with soft creamy fruit flavored or chocolate candy and a very small spoon.

Thank you, thank you. Yes, that is the description even without a name. Now I can sleep tonight!
