Does anyone Remember Top Hat Drive-in SE Michigan?

I'm just curious if anyone remember this restaurant, please describe this restaurant to me. All I herd is that they were a brother to White Castle and now their name is Sonic (Sonic's Drive-In?)

I remember them in the Detroit area even into the 80's. I think that a lot of their locations got turned into independent hamburger stands and may still be in operation.
