Trying a new Location for Weekends Only!

We have a chain of grocery stores called Sweet Bay here in Bradenton..Used to be Cash and Carry..
One of them is on a busy State Road 70..has large parking lot and is in a small strip mall..On the Corner is a Mac Donalds..

I tried it last weekend with my rental cart..Just a couple of hundred..
This week i'm going to try it full bang up, with Smoker, Ribs,Pulled Pork, breakfast sandwiches and my Doggies..
My thinking is anytime u can be near a MacDonalds u cannot help but draw some business..(the one here is poorly run and organized)
The Market has the main lease and gave me a spot to setup in for weekends only..Will report back..

        You sold 200 sandwiches?

It will only get better. Make sure to be consistant with the quality. Don't give too much fat with serving.

        Sounds like a great location.

          Uncle Vic:
I'm an old man and have delt with food in many vqrious ways most of my life..
Yrs ago a friend purchased the Franchise rights to MacDonald's for santa Cruz county and Monterey Counties, in Cal. I was working part time for him when a Taco Bell was being built next door.. The guy who was in charge asked me if i'd like to manage it, turned him down, but not before i learned a real secret to success..He owne3d 40 Taco Bells. He said always get as close to MacDonalds as u can its a real winner, u will get enuf of their spill off businedss and when people get tired of fries and burgers u will be there for them..

This new location is 100 yrds from MacDonalds in the same parking lot..furthemore it is poorly run and managed..LOL $$$$$$

I just got approved for my city spot for 300 a year! It is along a row of tile and flooring warehouses and varios other industrial businesses. There is no food within walking distance for the employees around there, and I think the contractors will be good revenus also. I know there was a lady who set up without a permit there and did quite well for 2 years, before she moved. I will keep everyone posted, I have been looking for a regular spot in addition to the festivals and sporting events that are intermitent. My last festival was a total rip-off and I am gonna take action if I don't get my money back. They charged me @250 to set-up, and I sold under 400 total. No promotion or advertising and the 1000-1500 attendance estimate was closer to 150 people. What a huge dissapointment. Ed
