driftwood cafe breakfast, south lake tahoe

 this is their heuvos "del Driftwood" .... everything is homemade; their jalapeno corn muffin was real good, as was their mimosa, with fresh sqeezed orange juice... turns out they are moving from this location , which really has character, to the new shopping center "the shops at Heavenly Village", also within walking distance from the casinos, Harrahs, Harveys Casino, etc. ... I had one of their last breakfasts in late Sept. before they moved (Oct. 2006) 2 eggs over medium , buried under the cheese, tortilla chips, salsa, sour cream,home fries; almost like breakfast nachos. tough to beat this old location.......and they've been there over 40 years.[img][/img]

I've got more pics from my Reno/Tahoe trip coming...
