First time I read where he "i" in chili came from. A sign painter mispelled chile on a downtown Dallas chili parlor sign back in the 1914s or so. Folks liked it so it stuck, might be true? Do the "site map" at the bottom of the home page and there is allot of neat stuff.

The mispelling chili might have been at a chili parlor in springfield Il. Thers more than one story about that.
