good pizza in ohio?

hi there,

i grew up in connecticut and, in my opinion, they have the best pizza. well, i've been living in northeast ohio for many years now and i have yet to find good pizza.

anyone have any suggestions? i am close to akron, canton and not too far from cleveland.

As an ex Cantonian, I miss my favorite pizza, PIZZA OVEN, so much! There is nothing like it down here in Columbus. I like the rectangular shape, the thick edge but thinner in the middle crust, the sauce, the cheese, the wafer thin mushroom slices and pepperoni, but especially the sausage. I haven't found a pizza place yet that uses the same type.

I recently found out about DiCarlos and Steubenville Pizza down here, and that they are square and the crust looks similar to Pizza Oven's. I'm going to have to try a slice and see if they're close enough to the real thing to pacify me in between trips up north!!

Thin or Thick crust?

If I were you, I'd take a drive to little ol' Wooster any day except Tuesday, after 5:00 and either eat there or take out a Coccia House Pizza. Been there forever in an old house and is the absolute hands down best pizza you ever had! Great homemade crust and sauce, lots of garlic, great toppings. You won't be sorry!
