--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had lunch at the Heart Attack Grill today WITH A BUDDY. It's 99% HYPE and 1% delivery.
Q. Why do you say that Jim?
A. Because the place does not match up to all the hype the place has caused.
Q. Could you elaborate?
A. Sure. first, the place is in a strip center, but has no ambiance. It's small, with limited seating. Does not have any decor that suggests anything hospital related. Probably seats 30 people inside and 30 people outside, but you can't have a beer outside.
Q. Speaking of beverages, what do thy offer?
A. 3 bottled beers, and several soft drinks, that's it.
Q. Does the place live up to the web site portrayal?
A. No way does it even come close. The girls on the web site and their "costumes" are a far cry from the girls working there. The girls are typical young girls just trying to make a buck. On a scale of 1 to 10, they're on average, a 4-5 as far as looks, body etc go. Their costumes are cheap and poorly made and don't fit well. Kinda sad watching them demean themselves.
Q. What about the food?
A. The menu is limited. Burgers, Fries, thats it. Their burgers come from a regional supplier, nothing special. They offer a 1/2 pound single, double, triple and quadruple burger. Toppings are tomatoes, onions, cheese, bacon, sauce, that's it. I was there at lunch time, and all I saw served were singles.
Q. What about the fries?
A. The frys are on site, fresh cut potatoes, not frozen, or prepped potatoes, cooked in Lard and tasty, but they put too much salt on them. They use some kind of a seasoning blend that is spicy but too salty. They're a small cut fry. You need a fork to eat hem, but plastic forks are only provided on request.
Q. So, give me your summary.
A. The place is WAY overhyped. Cudos to their Web site developer and their PR firm that has put them in the national spotlight but it's just another hamburger joint, better than some but not as good as most. No distinctive decor, shoddy costumes, below average looking wait staff, small physical store with limited seating, The customers were 99.9% male, mostly blue collar or low-end white collar guys with high Testerone levels. Not worth a return trip and based on the comments I overheard, most of them won't be back either
Q. So, should the Nursing Profession be concerned?
A. Not at all. The place will be just another burger joint at best, and probably be out of business in 6 months to a year. You can fool some of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. They got my $15 bucks + tip, for a burger, frys, and 2 beers but I won't be gong back. To all you Roadfooders who were thinking about making a special trip out here, FAGABOUTIT!
