There was a Leaning Tower of Pizza on Route #22 in Greenbrook, N.J. I believe there's a Japanese steakhouse now on the former site. I didn't know there was one in Mahwah, N.J.

When "Car & Driver" did a report on the worst roads in America many years back, they included Route #22 in New Jersey, and mentioned Leaning Tower of Pizza as part of the observed Jerseyana.

When I was a kid, we had a Leaning Tower of Pizza restaurant in Milwaukee, WI. It actually had a leaning tower you walked through to get into the restaurant. I don't remember if the pizza was good - but the building was neat!

I recall driving through (or near) Rockford, Ill and seeing a "leaning tower" replica about 20 years ago. Am I imagining this?

The Prince Restaurant in fabulous(!?) Saugus, Mass. still has a leaning tower of pizza.

It's just up the road from the fiberglass ranchland of the Hilltop Steakhouse, the Kowloon Restaurant, and other roadside d-lites.

And some people think we don't have any sense of humor here in New England.

Ashphalt, I've acually eaten there on a few occasions, kids birthday party, school fund raiser and what have you. The pizza is pretty good, not the best but I would return. I belive they have been there since the 50s. They must be doing something right. Chow Jim
