Actually Achenbachs iS on Route 23 on the outskirts of New Holland PA (still in Lancaster county). It does have excellant pastries - including doughnuts- that many consider the best in the area

Try the Dewy Buns (powdered sugar on a long-john type yeast donut, or the coconut and icing on yeast round donuts. Sticky buns are super w/ butter right out of the microwave. They also have stands at local farmer's markets.

I love Achenbach's pastries! If you're in the area, you have to stop by Achenbach's and try their apple & raisin donuts.
