Have a Pepsi day Catch that Pepsi spirit--drink it in! You got the right one, baby (that may have been Diet Pepsi) The Joy of Cola 7-Up: Catch the Light of 7-Up (complete with cool neon ads on TV) The Uncola Crisp and clean and no caffeine (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!) Dr. Pepper: Be a Pepper! Mountain Dew: Dew it! Dew it! Mountain Dew RC: Me and my RC.... others?

The old Sprite holiday lyrics to the tune of "Good King Wenceslas" is a persistent earworm... Sprite makes brighter holidays, Limon is the reason. Sprite goes well so many ways To bring good cheer this season. I had to look the exact words up, but "Limon" still sticks in my consumer consciousness.

Things go better with Coca-Cola, Things go better with Coke Life is much more fun when you're refreshed Anc Coke refreshes you best (it's the refreshing-est!) Food goes better with Fun goes better with You go better with Coke The real live one puts extra fun in you and everything you do so Things go better with Coca-Cola, Things go better with Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola (fade out) There, I've gotten that 40+ year old stuff out of my brain. Maybe now I can retain more new stuff.

A true forgotten 60s gem performed by top stars of the era like Nancy Sinatra and Dino, Desi and Billy. Escape! Come on over To Royal Crown Cola It's the Mad, Mad Mad, Mad Cola RC the one with the Mad Mad taste! Now if they'd only teamed up with the British beef lobby. ---- And, a minor hit from its calorie-challenged sibling: Who's drinking all of that Diet Rite Cola EVERYBODY! ---- Of course, much as we try, who could forget: I'm Pepper, You're a Pepper He's a Pepper, She's a Pepper Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper, too? Be a Pepper Drink Dr. Pepper...

Anyone remember "RC 100?" It was a sugar and caffeine-free Royal Crown product that came out in the late '70s or early '80s. I remember the jingle well: "RC 100 has nothing. No sugar and no caffeine. RC 100 has nothing--nothing but taste!"

I remeber a commercial with the music from "The Girl from Ipanena" was used in a cola commercial. Though I am guessing, it mught have been a Diet Pepsi commercial. Gotta love that song.

AN earlier Dr Pepper Jingle- Before the "Be a Pepper!" Dr Pepper is the friendly Pepper-Upper And it never, never, never let's you down... The lyrics making reference to the clock face on the old 'painted-graphics bottles', with clock hands at 10 - 2 - 6, to remind you that if you ingested the caffeine at those times you would not suffer the 'let-down' of a post-caffeine depression ! Or how about the Pepsi jingle that pointed out that it was a generous 12 oz serving , compared to Coke's 6 oz bottle. "Pepsi Cola hits the spot, Two full glasses, that's a lot, ......(forgotten lyrics)... and only a nickle too!"

Gotta love that song. Maybe Diet Pepsi, my guess would be Tab! Was it Tab that put out a promotional record of "Music to Watch Girls By"? Gee, those were the days! It's getting harder and harder to find an apartment with a push-button fold-out bed and bar!

The first jingle I remember for Mountain Dew was "Hello Sunshine! Hel-lo Moun-tain Dew! Then, this shouldn't even be limited to soda pop. Many other snacks had memorable jingles like that. Remember Funny Face drink mix? Very similar to that old Pepsi commercial. "When you're hot, you're hot. And we've got a lot... two whole quarts and that's a lot...etc. They uised to play that to death, and I never saw the stuff anywhere and never had any, so it got annoying. Then it just disappeared, and I ran across it in a videotape of some old 70's cartoons (ABC's "Saturday Superstar Movies", to be exact), and it was like "how did I forget that? Then, the LifeSavers commercial with the conveyor belt ("22 candies, 22 holes..."), "Quisp vs Quangaroos" race, and McDonald's "Keep America Clean" with the living trash cans.

But I do remember Tab's jingle very well: "Tab...what a beautiful drink...Tab...for beautiful people....Tab...you're beautiful to me." A soda pop...that's beautiful? They still sell Tab in supermarkets but only in cans. I think Diet Coke took away its spotlight.

Gotta love that song. I remember a Jobim song 'Waters of March' being used for a Coke commercial (with new lyrics - the original ones were a bit dark). I also remember comic Bill Dana as Jose Jimenez in a Vernor's ad, singing a jingle of his making that was toneless, rhymeless, and inane. The narrator comments "That was horrendous!" Jose replies "No no, that was Jimenez!"

Everybody likes it, Diet Rite Cola! At that time, early 1970's, I worked in an office that had a very attractive strawberry-blond secretary named Laura that all the guys were infatuated with. A colleague used to around all the time singing “everybody likes her’ Laura Cola.”

Wasn't there....? "Wink! The sassy one! From Canada Dry" Or am I mixing it up with something else? This jingle is for the Mayor.

How bout . . . Tab - it's a beautiful drink Tab - for beautiful people Tab - it's beautiful to me Sixteen ounces has just one calorie . . . Drink Dr. Pepper The joy of every boy and girl It's the most original softdrink ever In the whole, wide world (Drink Dr. Pepper) This one wasn't around for long, but it is firmly implanted in my memory - Picture a hilly, snow-covered area, late at night with a road running through. Off in the distance you see a bunch of little white lights, coming toward you. Soon, you see that they are actually a whole line of 18-wheelers, outlined in white Christmas lights. And you hear a whole chorus chanting "Sant packs are coming, Santa packs are coming" over and over and over. I don't even remember the other words to the jingle, but any time I'm out driving at night and see an 18-wheeler I can't resist chanting "Santa packs are coming! Santa packs are coming!"

Not a jingle, but one of my all-time favorite commercials: Quasimoto telling Rosamunda "read my lips: Dr Pepper"! Priceless!

Oh, yeah! There was a time that Dr. Pepper was considered to have some of the most creative ads in television. Then for not so great, anyone remember a Shasta Root Beer commercial that somehow combined a wild west saloon setting with the Andrews Sisters in a musical number? All I really remember is, "Root beer Mr. Shane" sung to the tune of "Bei Mir Bist du Schoen."
