I'm driving along I-84 for over 200 miles from I90 in MA to around Scranton, PA as I go to visit relatives. Anyone have suggestions for breakfast or lunch along that stretch?

It is not more than a 10 minute drive thru Danbury to the Sycamore Drive-In [see the RF review..]...

RF, I can give you lots of Scranton suggestions. On the way to it through PA, there's not much. If you want 'em, write back.

Not much through NY either..unless you want to go deep into Middletown or Newburgh...but I will give you the options if you want...

I would recommend the Red Rooster Drive-in on Route 22 in Brewster, NY (Reviewed here). Excellent burgers, onion rings, shakes, etc., and an all-around fun place to visit.

To get there, take exit 20 north off of 84, onto 684 North. As you pass by Brewster, 684 will turn into 22 North. Follow 22 North for a few miles and the Rooster will be on your right. Please look at a good map before following my directions!

          Have fun!

Just off exit 4 in CT is JB's (http://www.roadfood.com/Reviews/Overview.aspx?RefID=1496) -- keep in mind they are closed Mondays.

Carminuccio's (http://www.roadfood.com/Reviews/Overview.aspx?RefID=568) is not far off Exits 10 & 11 in CT, and, IMO, is one of the best in CT.

Another of CT's best pizza places is Perotti's (http://www.roadfood.com/Reviews/Overview.aspx?RefID=77), about 15 minutes off Exit 17. Well worth the detour.
