Pocket Burgers - IN-A-TUB

Today we had deep fried tacos and a pocket burger from IN-A-TUB in Kansas City. It's a locally owned place over 40 years old. A pocket burger resembles a Nu Way, but has a taste all it's own. [img][/img] This is a large pocket burger. There seemed to be about 1 cup of meat at least. The fries were quite tasty. A large pocket burger is $2.29, the fries were $1.65 and more than enough for 2 people. It was an enjoyable lunch with 2 deep fried taco. [img][/img]

Yeah, kinda like a Maid-Rite, huh? What kinda flavoring did the meat have? Is it the same as they use in the tacos?

That looks pretty good! A mirid of condiments and toppings would allow an infinite variaty. Ive never had a "loose meat" but a LUBI is pretty close, basically browned ground beef in a torpedo (long) roll

I'd be surprised if the fries were not frozen. Frozen fries can be very good if they're fried properly, and these certainly were. They were quite tasty.
