If have, and it comes out WAY TO SALTY !!!! I buy just the matzoh ball mix, and use low salt chicken broth,top with a little scallion, DELICIOUS !!!

The Maneschevitz mix isn't too bad, although if you've got your own stock or broth it gets better. Dan B, still not sure he spelled Man... correctly.

Store meixes are OK--------as long as you don't rely on them for the stock. Put into homemade----or even doctored canned stock----they are much better and less salty.

Making your own matzo balls are just as easy as using the mix (as long as you own measuring spoons and cups), and infinitely better.

i'm with almost everybody else's response: use a matzo ball mix (Manishewitz or Streit's) and make sure the stock is homemade! adding fresh parsley to the mix makes it even better...

Be sure to use sparkling water to make up your matzoh balls. They will come out light and fluffy every time.
