Coffee Crisp candy bar

Last night after my daughter's dance class I walked over next door to a dollar store (Dollar Tree) and bought the candy bar. I think I had had one a few years back but I don't remember. It was really good and did have a nice mild coffee flavor. My daughter loved it! and it was only 50cents! you can find so many old candies at dollar stores--it's great!

Coffee Crisp are one of those weird stories. Made in Canada by Nestle and with such fierce fans that they started distributing them in the States last year. I think they're a decent bar but 2.5 grams of trans fats ... yee!

It's delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh, to have perfect teeth and never have to worry about cavities or have a perfect metabolism and the ability to eat a candy bar without any guilt--or weight gain!!!

I wonder if Nestlé has made any changes to the formula (i.e. different chocolate etc) for the American market. It's long been a practice for many candy companies (such as Mars, Cadbury) to offer the same chocolate bars (what Canadians call candy bars) in the US and Canadian markets with darker/sweeter etc chocolate. Nevertheless, Coffee Crisp IS a nice, light snack and one of my faves! For more info: http://coffeecrisp.org/ If you ever need to buy a larger qualtity of Coffee Crisp or other Canadian products: http://canadianfavourites.com/index.html Edited because I can't spell.

Get the canadian ones if you can. They DO alter the formula somewhat. As B.S. says. " Makes a nice light snack. 5 or 6 make a good heavy meal!"

Oh, one of my most favorite treats to enjoy while I am in Canada. I would say it is like a coffee flavored kit kat. In Canada, they also sell milk in a bag. I got a real kick out of that.

I have only been able to find CC in Canada, or on a reservation near the Buffalo area. So, both places sold the Canadian version. They have a nice coffee flavor. I have never found a place in the NYC area, to purchase CC. I just stock up, when away for business, on the Canadian version.

I didn't realize you folks were deprived of Coffee Crisp! I eat it in layers, the pop off each other with your teeth easily: the coffee layer is the best.

Wow I have seen CC everywhere in my town since I was old enough to buy my own sweets... it is a very common candy bar, not special or anything. Had no idea it was not popular in the states! For the dessert lovers, it tastes more like a tiramisu candy bar, as the coffee is very sweetened by the chocolate. The halloween bite sized ones are best!

I've found some CC in the last couple of weeks at Big Lots for 50 cents each. I've bought a few and have enjoyed them!
