Tuna Melt

My husband loves them and makes his own tuna salad as he likes Miracle Whip and sweet pickles, I like Kraft and celery. I know he puts his on bread with a slice of Kraft American or some thin slices of cheddar, wraps it in foil and puts it in the toaster oven for about 5 minutes each side. It looks tasty but I'm not a fan of hot tuna either. My husband on the other hand craves it.......

I love both tuna salad and tuna melts.

To adapt a tuna salad recipe for a tuna melt, simply remove any crunch elements, like celery, and add cheese. Egg is good and so are pickles. I prefer Miracle Whip but nothing wrong with good old fashioned mayo.

I forgot to mention, wrap the sandwich in tin foil and cook in oven or toaster oven until the cheese is melted. I like to toast the bread prior to making the sandwich and wrapping it in foil but that's optional.
