Soft white bread, slab of cold meat loaf, and a mixture of Heinz catsup and Frank's Hot Sauce. I love me some Frank's Hot Sauce.

      My meatload is rather simple:

      Ground beef
      2 eggs
      Italian bread crumbs
      Garlic
      Rosmary
      Salt and pepper
Baked - sometimes with ketchup or tomato sauce on top

Cold on wheat bread with ketchup

I normally go with an english muffin with mayo and some of the tomato sauce from the meatloaf. Sometimes I'll do cheese, and sometimes a slice of tomato.

Oh, and for the best meatloaf put in a handful of light brown sugar.

Lots of meatloaf on an Italian bread sub/hero loaf, a mess of brown gravy on it, wrapped in foil and heated in the oven until steamy hot! Yeow!

Nothing better than getting home from the bar at about 3am and smelling the meatloaf you missed for dinner. Sitting down making 2 sanwhiches before bed. On cheap white bread with Heinz chili sauce and tabasco. Great cure for a handover.

Soft white bread and Heinz ketchup.

I've got 1/2 a meatlof in my fridge right now. Yum.

Wonder Bread, lightly buttered, thick slice of meatloaf, and plenty of Hunt's Ketchup.

White bread, cold meatloaf sliced about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, and nothing but ketchup. I have to admit the idea of adding sliced onion sounds good.

Meat loaf (¼-½" thick), fluffy, nutritionally and gustatorially irrelevant white bread, Hellman's, S & P. If I really want to get down and dirty, maybe even (gasp! wheeze! howl in self-loathing!) ketchup.

But I digress. The meat loaf has to be firm and non-crumbly, with (if at all possible) that red stuff my mom used to coat the top with, just for a soupçon of sweetness.

Some of the best meatloaf sandwiches I ever tasted came from a neighborhod tavern in Milwaukee called Karlovich's. Also served good steak tartare (sp?).

I haven't had one before and never had a homemade one, sad to say. The one I did have was a warm meatloaf sandwich on thick cut white bread and mayo, washed down with a thick milkshake in a mashmallow coated goblet at the Sugar Bowl in Scottsdale, AZ in 2000. One of my favorite meals ever.

I throw some nice slices with a slice of american cheese, then top it with some ketchup and mayo.

As far as bread is concerned, I like mine on Multigrain, though nothing like putting it on a bagel!

A Roadfood member recommended, Emeril's Most Kicked Up Meatloaf Ever. This meatloaf, in my opinion is the best!

The next day it still retained a pate texture. Pure heaven for a sandwich. Rich, moist, and alive with flavor.

I did substitute turkey for veal. Next time the bacon will be cooked before adding. It did not crisp up.

Ketchup, mayo, honey mustard, a thick slab of cold meatloaf on Dave's Killer Bread. Yum!

                                          Well blueheaven,
Cold meatloaf is great with anything. For instance, roasted red pepper, lettuce and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Or kraut and mustard. Or with a dollop of cold mashed. Sometimes I'll put a slice of salami or ham on it. Amost any kind of cheese will work too. As far as condiments goes just keep a variety in the fridge, and try out new choices. When the garden is full theres no telling what will end up on it. Be creative. There are a gazillion ways to make a meatloaf sandwich. Try not to make it the same way twice.

I like Kraft mayo and French's yellow mustard on any kind of sliced bread, rye, pump, white, wheat. (not raisin, but just about any other kind) But it MUST be my Mom's meatloaf. She uses beef and pork, onion soup mix, oats, worchestershire, Nature's Seasons, eggs to bind, and I think that's about it. No tomatoes, peppers, sugar, etc. although I'll eat hot meatloaf with these ingredients.

Had to have that debate with myself just last night. This time I opted for just a bit of Sierra Nevada stout mustard and a couple of thin slices of Tillamook cheddar on a bun. Still a few slices left in the refrigerator, maybe this time I'll go for the Stubb's barbeque sauce. In any case, sliced thin, but not too thin. Lunch is calling, gotta go. Just made a meatloaf last week. I add a toping of brown sugar, barbeque sauce, and ketsup. Yummy!

Put my meatloaf on sour dough bread with some mayo. I love it!
