Restaurant of the day

Thanks, Michael for the review on Clark's Outpost. I have had the pleasure of eating there since 1976. I remember Warren Clark, the late founder. He was a great guy and was always happy to be working and greeting all that came through the doors. As busy as he was, he always made time to sit and chat for a few minutes. Besides the locals, there was always a large crowd of folks from Dallas like us that would make the pleasant 1 hour drive on Sundays to Tioga for some great BBQ out in the "country". Clark's Outpost is a special place to us because Warren Clark made it that way.

Stroud's in Kansas City...THE holy Grail of Pan Fried Chicken! It was a sad day when the original location was closed, the place had a character that can never be duplicated. Still, whenever I am in KC, Pan Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beens and a cinnamon roll have reserved a place in my stomach. Thanks for the report, RF.
