Roadfood mention

Saturday's NYTimes had a mention of Roadfood.com in a short article about Papaya King opening a shop in Clifton, NJ. The essence of the mention was that a Roadfood spinoff, New Jersey hot dog tour, centered itself on Clifton and that Papaya King was entering a very competitive environment. Maybe John Fox can fit the new Papaya King into this Fall's tour so that those of us who rarely get into the City can get a taste of the famous hot dogs and papaya drink... Cheers, John

We are definitely planning to include Papaya King on the next tour. In fact, I was there on Saturday. Dogs were great as usual. Matt, the owner informed me that they no longer serve fries. They are not allowed to have a deep fryer in the building, so were using special fries that were made for baking. They were fine when there was fast turnover, but Matt didn't like the taste when they sat out for more than a few minutes. He has replaced fries with kettle chips in the combo meals, and has lowered the price.
