I'll bet you're thinking of Horlick's. Try googling it.

You must go to Crown Candy Kitchen! 1401 Saint Louis Ave in St. Louis. Here are my thoughts about the place: A fun place! It is like stepping back into one's childhood (if you are at least 50 years old). The sandwiches were very good but the MALTED MILK SHAKES were unbelievable! Having one of their MALTED milk shakes is just about the most fun you can have without having to take a shower afterwards! The place has been there since 1913. Unfortunately, the neighborhood has not aged as gracefully as the restaurant. We arrived after nightfall and the surrounding area is a little scary.

Horlick's really is great malt. The great thing for me is that I live in Philly's Chinatown and many of the Chinese grocery shops around here carry Horlick's (and Ovaltine). Apparently, a hot malt drink is very popular with the Chinese. I used to order it on-line, but now I just pick it up in the neighborhood for only a fraction of what I used to pay when I ordered it. Anyone looking for Horlick's who lives near any Chinese or Asian grocery stores may want to check in them before ordering on-line.

Yeah, all the Chinese megamarkets near me in the Edison, NJ area sell Horlick's. I've never seen it anyplace else. I love the stuff.

BigDave, I've never heard of combining malt with fruit flavors before. Only vanilla or chocolate. It sounds a little odd to me.....
